| 1. Bow on entering/leaving the Dojo 2. Address any Instructor as SENSEI in and outside the Dojo. 3. OSS is a sign of respect used in many situations such as: a) Upon receiving any advice/command from Instructors. b) When bowing to your partner/s before and after Kumite. c) When bowing at the start/finish of any class. d) In any other appropriate situation (i.e. during grading/competitions). 4. All students MUST respect lower/higher grades. 5. Train at least twice a week. 6. NO ONE is to leave the Dojo without first asking permission from the Sensei. 7. Any member arriving late, MUST take-up a kneeling position where the Instructor can see you and wait for permission to join the class (then bow and join). Members should arrive 5 minutes before class starts. 8. Finger/toe nails MUST be kept short and clean at all times Hair must be tied back if is long. 9. Your Karate-Gi MUST be kept clean and in good conditions If you need to wear t-shirt underneath your uniform, it must be white t-shirt. 10. No talking during class even if you are partnered with another student. You must not talk unless you are invited to do so by Sensei Juan. 11. No running or playing in training area. 12. No eating in the Dojo. 13. Members MUST-NOT smoke chew swear spit or commit any other act likely to offend the Dojo Etiquette. 14. Jewelry (rings, bracelets, chains, earrings) MUST-NOT be worn during training. 15. Members must not use their skills in any offensive way outside the Dojo. 16. All members must be current in dues and training fees. |
