Hajime: start
Yame: finish
Yoi: ready

Kamae: ready for action stance
Hei-soku-dachi:  closed feet stance with feet touching
Zen-kutsu(-dachi): forward stance (stance with front leg bent)
Kiba-dachi:  straddle-leg stance
Ko-kutsu -dachi:  back stance
Kosa-dachi: crossed feet stance
Shizen-tai:  natural stance
Zan-shin: mental follow through

Techniques
Tsuki: punch
Age-uke: rising block
Soto-uke: outward block with radial side of wrist
Ge-dan: low section
Ge-dan-barai:  downward sweeping block  
Gyaku:
reverse, opposite
Gyaku-zuki:  reverse punch
Chu-dan: mid-section
Chu-dan-zuki:  punch to the mid-section.
Empi:  elbow (strike)
Ren-zuki:  two consecutive punches
Shu-to-uke: block with  hand
Uchi-uke:  inward block with  side of wrist
Nuki-te: three finger thrust
Mae: front, forward
Mae-geri: front kick
Jodan: upper section (face)
Mawashi-geri: roundhouse kick
